Wow! A man has an extra chance to say what he wants to his mother.
This audition book is narrated by the author.
The story provokes thoughts about what we would say if we had one more chance to speak to a loved one.
A book group would have an interesting time discussing the issues in this story.  Find this book in the library catalog

Lots of history is included in this book. There was wars between several Indian tribes as well al the English and French in our country, all fighting for possession of lands and people.
Very gory depictions of war are described. This is a book about war but specific details of gore make this hard to read.  Find this book in the library catalog

Margaret Mead sends letters to others while she is doing field work. There isn't much time spent at home. A lot of her time is used to travel to various islands near Samoa. She returns to these villages many years after observing their ways of life. It creates a sort of home coming, she identifies several of the villagers she observed in the past, which is almost 30 years.
This book includes some of her philosophy on people and life.
It's interesting to read about how the villages met with modernization.  Find this book in the library catalog

Fifteen short stories and a novelette featuring our favorite detective. It is amazing that an entire case can be presented and solved in just a few short pages.
